Privacy Notice
Effective Date: April 27, 2009

We at Authentici respect your concerns about privacy and value the trust you have placed in us. This Privacy Notice describes the types of personal information we collect, how we may use that information, and with whom we may share it. Our Privacy Notice also describes the measures we take to protect the security of the information. In addition, we describe the choices you can make about how we use the information you provide to us. We tell you how you can update your contact information, remove your name from our mailing list, or answer any questions you may have about our privacy practices.

Information collected
We collect and use information about you to communicate with you about our products, services, promotions, programs and events, and to customize our communications in those areas. We also collect information to improve your website experience, enroll Authentici and ELC children and youth; enable you to make donations to Authentici, and enable contact with Authentici alumni. Here are the ways we obtain information about you and the types of information we obtain. We also tell you how we use the information.

Register for Our Newsletter. When you ask us to send you our newsletter, you provide us with your email address so we can fulfill your request.

Purchases. When you order or purchase an Authentici product, you may choose to give us contact and payment information (such as credit card information) so we may process your order. When you pay for a Authentici product using a credit card, we use your credit card information only to fulfill your order and for other internal purposes.

Contact Us Link. If you contact us via our website, we may ask you for information such as your name, address and email address so we can respond to your questions or comments. Unless you consent, we do not retain this information except to respond to your inquiries.

Website. Like many organizations, we use cookies and log files on our website. Cookies are small text files that websites often store on computer hard drives of visitors to their sites. A cookie contains a unique code, which is used to recognize your computer when a user of your computer returns to a website that was visited previously. Log files are small text files that websites automatically create when a user visits a site. We use cookies and log files to enhance the online experience of our visitors and to better understand how our site is used. Cookies and log files may tell us, for example, whether you have visited our site before or whether you are a new visitor.

The "help" portion of the toolbar on most browsers will tell you how to stop accepting new cookies, how to be notified when you receive a new cookie, and how to disable existing cookies. Remember, though, without cookies, you may not be able to take full advantage of all our website features, such as participating in online games and sweepstakes.

Enrollment. When you enroll online as a member or alumni, you give us your name, email address and phone number. If you are under 13 years old, we ask you to have your parent or guardian enroll you, or you may call us directly.

Special Offers and Instant Coupons. From time to time, we may offer you discounts and rewards provided by our supporters such as sponsors or partners. When you choose to download any special offers or instant coupons from our websites, we do not collect any personal information about you.

Participate in Contests and Sweepstakes. When you sign up to participate in one of our contests or sweepstakes, you may provide us with information such as your name or email address. We may use the information to enter you in the contest or sweepstakes and contact you if you win. Also, unless you previously asked us not to send you our newsletter, we will add your email address to our newsletter list. If you do not want to receive information about Authentici, you may choose not to participate in our contests and sweepstakes.

Donations. You also give us contact information and credit card or checking information so we can process your donation. We use this information for that purpose and to customize our communication with you.

Other Ways We May Use Information to Provide Services. You may provide us with survey information to help us learn more about your preferences. We maintain information you provide to us in our database to provide you with the information, goods or services you have requested.

Sharing information with third parties
Authentici does not share personal information about you with any third parties for their own marketing purposes. We do share this information with service providers we have retained to perform services on our behalf, but these service providers are not authorized by us to use or disclose the information except as necessary to perform services on our behalf or to comply with legal requirements. We also may disclose information about you to other members of the Authentici supporters (such as our partner schools or agencies, which may have their own privacy policies) and as required by law.

Protection of personal information
The security of personal information is a high priority for us. Authentici is committed to safeguarding the privacy of our donors' personal data. We ask donors to supply various personal data when making a donation, such as name and address, credit-card information, and email address. We use this data only for the purpose of processing the donation, or communicating with the donor about the status of a donation. We treat this donor information as private and confidential, and we will not disclose your data to third parties without your express permission or if required by law.

Privacy Policy Updates
Authentici's products, services, promotions and programs will change over time. This Privacy Notice will be updated periodically to reflect those changes and corresponding changes in our information practices. Whenever we revise this Privacy Notice, we will change the date on the notice to indicate when the revisions were made. We reserve the right to change our information practices and the terms of this Privacy Notice, and to apply the changed practices to all information we have about you.

THE SITE CONTENT IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EITHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, SATISFACTORY QUALITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, TITLE OR NONINFRINGEMENT, WHICH ARE EXCLUDED FROM THIS AGREEMENT TO THE EXTENT THAT THEY MAY BE EXCLUDED AS A MATTER OF LAW. Authentici may terminate, change, suspend or discontinue any aspect of the Site at any time. Authentici may restrict, suspend or terminate your access to the Site and/or this Agreement if we reasonably believe or suspect you have acted inappropriately on the Site or you are in breach of these Terms of Use or applicable law, or for any other reason without notice or liability. You may terminate this Agreement by discontinuing your use of and access to the Site. This Agreement is effective until terminated by you or by Authentici for any reason, with or without notice. Upon any termination of this Agreement, you agree to discontinue your use and access of this Site and to immediately destroy all materials obtained from it.

Miscellaneous

This Agreement shall be deemed to include all other notices, policies, disclaimers, and other terms contained in the Site, including our Privacy Policy; provided, however, that in the event of a conflict between such other terms and the terms of this Agreement, the terms of this Agreement shall prevail.

You agree that Authentici may assign any of its rights and/or transfer, sub-contract or delegate any of its obligations under this Agreement. This Agreement is personal to you and you may not transfer or assign it to a third party.

Neither party is responsible for any breach of this Agreement caused by circumstances beyond its reasonable control.

This Agreement is governed by and is construed in accordance with the laws of Washington State, U.S.A, without regard to conflicts of law provisions. You consent to the exclusive jurisdiction and venue of courts in King County, Washington, U.S.A. in all disputes arising out of or relating to your use of this Site. Notwithstanding the foregoing, Authentici shall have the right to bring action against visitors of the Site in courts of competent jurisdiction in the jurisdiction in which such visitors reside or are located: (i) to seek injunctive relief against such visitor, (ii) to obtain a judgment against such visitor where a judgment by a United States court will, or may, not be enforced by the jurisdiction in which such visitor resides or is located, or (iii) to enforce a judgment obtained against such visitor in a Washington State court.

If any part of this Agreement is determined to be invalid or unenforceable under applicable law including but not limited to the warranty disclaimers and liability limitations stated above, then the invalid or unenforceable provision will be deemed superseded by a valid, enforceable provision that most closely matches the intent of the original provision and the remainder of the Agreement shall continue in effect.

This Agreement constitutes the entire agreement between you and Authentici with respect to this Site and it supersedes all prior or contemporaneous communications and proposals, whether electronic, oral or written, between you and Authentici with respect to this Site. A printed version of this Agreement and of any notice given in electronic form will be admissible in judicial or administrative proceedings based upon or relating to this Agreement to the same extent as other business documents and records originally generated and maintained in printed form.
